Emily is Gurr Johns’ Director for Contemporary Art. She works with both private and institutional clients advising on acquisitions, sales, valuations, and collection management.
Emily has worked in the primary art market for the past fifteen years, working for galleries such as Pace, White Cube and more recently the New Art Centre. Throughout her career she has worked closely with artists and estates including Hiroshi Sugimoto, Adrian Ghenie, Antony Gormley and Edmund de Waal. Notable estates include the Alexander Calder and Barbabra Hepworth estate.
Emily joined Gurr Johns in 2023 and is based in our London office. She is a trustee of the State Ceramic charity and curate’s ad hoc exhibitions for mid-career and emerging artists.
