Maya O’Donnell-Shah has nearly a decade of experience in the arts. Her diverse background includes work in the non-profit sector, galleries, artist’s studios and most recently in the auction sector. She began her auction career at Freeman’s auctioneers where she served as an Associate Specialist of Fine American and European Paintings and later as a Regional Representative. Prior to joining Gurr Johns, she served as Business Director for Auctionata where she was instrumental in launching their New York operations and worked to design both auction and private sale strategies. She has spoken on topics ranging from guerrilla design to management of tangible assets and the internet revolution’s effect on the art market. She also serves on the steering committee of the Princess Grace Foundation’s young professional’s guild which supports emerging artists in film, theater and dance.
